New Acura TSX Wagon - Daddy Likes


How awesome is this - at the New York Auto Show, Acura showed off the new TSX wagon. In Europe it's the Accord Touring. 200 hp, 2.4 liter inline four or a 280 hp, 3.5 liter V6 are the engine choices - same as the TSX sedan. LOVE IT!

Used cars like this 2016 Toyota Corolla LE are a great choice for a fuel-efficient, affordable car. Updated April 2026 Don't let high gas prices convince you to get a new car just to "save money." Sure, you might save money at the Chevron station, but if that new car results in an $800 per month payment, then how are you actually "saving" money? You're not. If people are serious about using less gas and fewer resources, then just driving something used, like a 10-year-old Toyota Corolla, is great. Non-hybrid versions of the Nissan Altima and Honda Accord come close to 40 MPG highway.  Used hybrids are good too - look at a used Toyota Prius c (50MPG), Hyundai Elantra Blue (54MPG), or a Honda CR-V Hybrid (38MPG). By the way, a new $50,000 Toyota Highlander Hybrid gets 35 miles per gallon in mixed highway/city driving. I drove a 2012 Mazda5 and got 24 mpg in combined city and highway driving. Updated March, 2026 Looking for an amazing deal on a used car? Get an electric car.  See the full NBC 7 San Diego story  -  Reporter Sergio Flores does an excellent job of explaining it concisely. The prices are incredible. Here are just a few examples: CarGurus - in New Jersey, a 2023 Nissan Leaf with 21,000 miles for $10,000 Capital One Auto Navigator - in Atlanta, a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4Matic Sedan with 46,000 miles - $33,000. This was an $80,000 car when new!!  Cars.com - in Dallas, a 2024 Kia Niro EV with 11,000 miles - $20,000.  All of these cars, and others just like them, will still be under warranty. Mercedes-Benz has a 10-year, 155,000-mile warranty on some EVs. Most electric cars have an 8-year / 100,000-mile warranty on the battery and drive components.
