2026 Super Bowl Car Ads

The coolest Super Bowl car ad this year is the Fanatics Sportsbook / Kendall Jenner ad with that Ferrari 250 GT. It was fun, funny, and had a really cool car. Of course, they imply that she backs into something, but we never see that part. 250 GT in that condition is worth about $600,000, maybe more. If it were a spider or a short-wheelbase Ferrari, it would be worth millions. Still, the commercial is fun, and that car is definitely the highlight - sweet G550 too.

This year Super Bowl is a little bit light on cool car ads. However, we still get to see interesting stuff like an old RAV4, Cadillac’s new Formula One paint scheme, old school boxy Ford explorers in the Jurassic Park ad, and that super cool Ferrari in the Fanatic Sportsbook ad. The Ford F-100 that was in the half-time show proves just how prominently automobiles figure into all types of American popular culture.

Toyota

The Toyota commercial about the seatbelt is something Toyota has been doing a lot lately, which is to remind people of Toyota’s rich heritage and some of the great cars they’ve built in the past. The '90s RAV4 that appears in the commercial is cool (likely the model that solidified the current compact SUV segment) - recently, we’ve seen Toyota and Lexus show older vehicles, like a big old Lexus LS, for example. It’s nice to know that a company is in touch with its past, especially when it has so many cars that we’ve loved.

VW

The Volkswagen commercial is definitely targeted at Gen X by the use of that song, but the photography looks like a Millennial hipster‘s Tumblr account. Volkswagen has lots of cars that we’ve loved, but they are in a bit of a reset mode, so it makes sense that the spot featured both gasoline and electric vehicles - including the spectacular VW Tiguan. But man, do I hate that Jump around Song.

Cadillac

The Cadillac spot is probably the biggest deal in terms of breaking news - the stunt in Times Square alone, plus the revealing of Cadillac’s all-new F1 livery. The real payoff will be increased interest by American viewers in Formula 1 racing.
